Volvo Truck Center commissioned in time
On September 23, 2016 in the city of Vantaa was put into operation "Volvo Truck & Bus Center", the newly constructed center for servicing trucks and buses, equipped with premises for the Finnish headquarters of Volvo. This large-scale complex with numerous technological systems EKE-Construction Ltd handed over to customer Volvo Finland Ab in time stipulated in the contract. Construction works in the total area of 15.000 square meters took approximately 1,5 years.
"Our project went perfectly due to the close cooperation with the Customer and many another participants of the project from the very beginning, since the first stages of design. You can estimate scale and complexity of this complex from the fact that it belongs to top ten largest construction objects of commercial real estate in the Southern Finland of recent years,” expresses his satisfaction Pasi Heikkonen, technical director of EKE-Construction Ltd.
Tapio Kalliola, deputy executive director of EKE-Construction Ltd, is also satisfied with it and tells that works on the site will still continue for a while in order to complete some additional and alteration works.
Volvo put their new premises into operation at once, and an open house event to celebrate this is to be held on October 12th, 2016.
"In the city of Vantaa there has been opened the most modern and up-to-date center which offers a wide range of services for maintenance of trucks, buses and vans. Due to the commissioning of these premises all our services in Vantaa can be found from now under one roof. In our center there are designed premises not only for sale and servicing Volvo cars, but also for mechanics training, and for the Finnish headquarters of Volvo Finland Ab, too," writes Volvo on their website.
